Please join us in welcoming the newest three police officers to the Antioch Police Department family! This afternoon, we were thrilled to add three new officers following their graduation from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Regional Training Center yesterday.
Officer Ashley Allen comes to us by way of Walnut Creek, and is a graduate of Clayton Valley High School where she was named female athlete of the year in her senior year! After high school, Ashley attended CSUEB where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and also was named an All-American for her shortstop play with CSUEB’s softball team. In Ashley’s free time, she enjoys being outdoors and exercising. Her hidden talent is being able to recite every Harry Potter movie…..word for word!! (We may have to test her on this).
Next, is Officer Erik Nilsen. Erik comes to us from Central California, where he attended high school in Linden before earning his Bachelor’s Degree at Fresno State University. Erik worked for a financial planning firm prior to joining us at APD. Erik enjoys hunting, playing softball, and golfing when he isn’t working. During the academy, his classmates gave him the nickname of “Baby Hulk.†……….we’ll have to get to the bottom of this!
Last, but not least, we would like you to meet Officer Arturo Becerra. Arturo is an Antioch High School graduate that went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from San Francisco State University. Prior to working with us, Arturo was a Human Resources Manager for UPS. Arturo enjoys powerlifting and cooking outdoors during his free time, and his academy nickname was “Megamind.â€
